Stella's comments on Posts in E-portofolios of other groups

Here are my comments for all the topics posted in other e-portfolios of other groups:

Topic 1: Evaluation of an e-learning tool presentation

Group 3: Evaluation of Kahoot:
I think their presentation is very clear and practical for people unfamiliar with this game-based e-learning tool. Apart from the advantages, disadvantages, comments from users, they also mention how this tool is used in classroom to engage students into the course, which is quite useful for me if I will use it in my class in the future.

Group 1: Evaluation of Videoscribe:
This group's blog design is quite attractive, which posts their weekly topics very clearly. And their introduction of Videoscribe shows they have critical thinking to this tool because they talk about the comments from the viewpoint of students to illustrate the advantages of this tool, which is quite interesting. It means they not only think the advantages of teacher use but also students' feeling for experiencing this tool. And they give audiences some useful suggestion for consideration. That's quite useful for me.

Group 4: Evaluation of Ted Speech
They do a great job in introduction of Ted Speech because in their presentation, they use many comparison to evaluate Ted Speech. And the presentation with illustrative pictures is quite comprehensive to audiences.

Topic 2: Mind map Design

Group 5: Their design (design construction, colour use, contents) of the mind map is quite clear and simple to understand the contents of the three theories. And the examples from the three theories are also great.

Group 3: I think your design of this mind map seems too many contents in it, which is not clear for people to read and grab your main idea to these three theories. It would be better if you narrow down the contents on the definition part. You can show the final definition to state these three theories after discussion.

Group 4: It is a quite organized mind map and your thinking of these three theories is also quite logical and clear to read. And the examples are also related to out real life experience. Thank for your sharing. And the use of pictures to explain the concept is also clear and comprehensive.

Topic 3: Evaluation of Video Design

Group 1: I think your video design is very attractive and interesting. And the process of learning is also consistent with the Bloom' Taxonomy, which is quite practical and stimulate people to learn Cantonese actively. And the whole video is presented like an awesome movie. I like it very much!

Group 5: The contents in this video is quite practical and useful to people to understand recycling, which makes people conscious of this urgent problem in our everyday routines. And the format of animation is quite attractive to engage people to learn the process of how waste things are recycled.  Quite useful knowledge.

Group 4: I think this video is quite interesting to engage people to learn the divisibility of some special numbers. And you apply the Bloom' Taxonomy in this video to make students learn divisibility in appropriate practice. Nice job!

Topic 5: E-learning Course Evaluation

Group 5: What you have done is quite amazing, and all of the courses are quite useful and practical to people. All of you talk about the recommended courses in details and informative. And the topics you choose is also quite interesting.

Group 1: Your sharing of e-learning courses are quire useful in the job choice. And some of you use Bloom's Taxonomy to evaluate the course, which is quite clear and great. All of you give people details of your courses.

Group 4: The e-learning courses are quite practical in life, especially the sharing of King's, which introduces such a delicious and mouthwatering dish for us.  And the pedagogy in this course also make people want to involve and have a try to do this. Awesome work!

Topic 6:  Discussion on the Critical Factors in Making Online Courses Engaging

Group 4: I do agree with your most of views of it, but I think the "support from teacher" is abstract. And if you can give some specific examples or explanations to it, it would be better for me to understand.

Group 3: I think your thinking of this is quite great, and have specific explanations to every points. And I do agree with the point of "giving feedback to students" because it will make students feel they are treated seriously, and they will involve in the course deeply.

Group 1: Your sharing on this question is quite practical and critical, but for the last point of view, I don't think it is quite relevant to this topic. It would be better if you can give some explanation on it. And I think the most important factors in your sharing is the interaction between instructors and learners, which can improve their communication during the course. For example, they can communicate before, in, and even after finishing the course to give reciprocal evaluation to improve teaching and learning.

Topic 7: Evaluation of M-learning Apps

Group 3: The design of comparison between these two apps is quite attractive and informative, which makes me have a try of these two apps. But you can play your voice for us, it would be more engaging.

Group 4: Well, i think the design of this Powerpoint is informative and useful to people who want to improve their English vocabulary. And the comparison is also in details. And if you can add your comments to these two apps, it would be better to give others some suggestion to use it.

Group 1:  What a great presentation you made! I like your statement of these two similar apps, which gives me useful suggestion about using it. And actually, I prefer Liu Li Shuo because it is quite user-friendly.

Topic 8: Mini E-learning Course

Group 3: I think your course based on the Nearpod is quite interesting and really engage me.  In your course, we can have exercises together, see others' comments, and interact with other students, which makes me feel great!

Group 5: I think this course is really academic but also it provides a new technical pedagogical method to learn geography, which can let students feel the planets on their own. And they can learn by themselves and also learn with others. Quite interesting!!

Group 4: Your group e-learning course is very cute and interesting, and you also use Kahoot to engage students to participate in the courses. But I think the ranking is not necessary, which may hurt students' self-esteem because not all students are active and competitive to win.
