Topic 1/Introduction of an e-learning tool:  @Group 5 First, I like group 5's presentation is the table presenting the advantages and disadvantages of using Google Classroom. By putting them side-to-side, I think it is very clear and organised for comparison. Also, I think it is great to include parents' perspectives in the use of Google Classroom. Often in users' review found online or researches reviewing the use of Google Classroom perhaps only include teachers and students' comments/feedback on this learning management system (LMS). Since some members in group 5 are school teachers and they are able to collect first-hand feedback from parents in their school, it is really useful for the class (including myself) to learn about what parents think about the LMS as parents are one of the stakeholders needed to be considered as well when implementing a LMS in the school.

Topic 1 Applications of technology in educational contexts Group 4                    TED for me is a good platform to know what’s the hit topic, innovative thinking and new trends in social development. It is a useful tool for adult learning, but I don’t think that is suitable for children even to learn english. And in that kind of public speaking, it includes the skill to convey the speaker’s idea but may not have a strategy for teaching and learning.   But in fact, I really like this application as a platform to conduct learning and self-improvement

Topic 1 Group 1 One of the greatest advantages of this software is that it could somehow simulate the situation of real class, in that someone is really writing or drawing in the video. The motion could indeed keep the attention of the students (which is one of the most important things during teaching!), particularly the junior form ones.

Here are my comments for all the topics posted in other e-portfolios of other groups: Topic 1: Evaluation of an e-learning tool presentation Group 3: Evaluation of Kahoot: I think their presentation is very clear and practical for people unfamiliar with this game-based e-learning tool. Apart from the advantages, disadvantages, comments from users, they also mention how this tool is used in classroom to engage students into the course, which is quite useful for me if I will use it in my class in the future.

Topic 7: Mobile and handheld technologies in education

Topic 7 Activity (Group work) Present and Compare Similar M-learning Apps Background: You are a group of experts on e-learning technology design. Locate 2-3 similar m-learning apps(good quality apps), analyze their similarities, differences, and rooms for improvement. Then, present it in a conference.

Topic 4: Students as Technology Users

Group Discussion 1. What kind of educational activities can teachers and instructional designers encourage student to do online? There are a number of tools teachers and instructional designers can choose to use, such as, interactive games (e.g. Kahoot!), watch YouTube, discussion forum, blog, WIKI, Moodle, mind-maps, etc. It is important to note that the students would need an incentive to participate in these sorts of activities, such as rewards (candies/stickers, bonus points).
